The legendary Finnish MMA veteran Makwan “Mr. Finland” Amirkhani will take on a young and hungry prospect in the OKTAGON MMA 1 million euro lightweight championship league on March 2.
14-fight UFC veteran Amirkhani will take on 24-year-old rising star Mochamed “The Beast” Machaev, who has impressive wins in Brave and UAE Warriors.
Austria’s Machaev has a 13-1 record with his only loss coming to Gamzat Magomedov at BRAVE CF 52.
The 35-year-old Finnish fighter left the UFC in 2023 after losses to Jonathan Pearce and Jack Shore. In August he was back in fighting action, competing in the ADCC North European Open, where he won a bronze medal in the 76 kg division.
The OKTAGON MMA lightweight tournament will start March 2 at OKTAGON 54 in Ostrava, Czechia.
The list of fighters competing in the tournament includes names like former KSW champion Daniel Torres and reigning OKTAGON lightweight champion Ronald Paradeiser and OKTAGON superstar and double champion Losene Keita.
