Dana White’s Contender Series was back with week 2 of the 8th season tonight with Swedish powerhouse Andreas Gustafsson fighting for a UFC contract as he headlined the card against Pat Pytlik in a welterweight clash.
Gustafsson scored a brutal second-round knockout, landing vicious elbows and knees to send Pytlik crashing to the canvas. In the end, it was clear that the stoppage win was enough for “Bane” to earn a UFC deal.
“You are a killer, you are a savage and I’m definitely gonna give you a chance in the UFC,” White concluded following the win.
“I hope the UFC comes back to Sweden,” Gustafsson said after learning that he got the contract.
