Former UFC welterweight Anthony Rocco Martin faces a misdemeanor assault charge after allegedly threatening police officers in Florida on December 21, 2022.

According to MMA Fighting, Martin was arrested after allegedly yelling foul language and threats at police officers. He was also squaring up with an officer after making “stern eye contact signaling his intentions.”

The UFC veteran posted a $5,000 bond and was released from jail the next day. On January 9, Martin pleaded not guilty to the charge, and he is now due to appear in court on February 22.

In 2021, Martin was arrested in Las Vegas for allegedly urinating in a hallway at luxury hotel and casino Caesar’s Palace, and then assaulting a security officer who intervened.

Anthony Rocco Martin fought 15 fights in the UFC

The UFC veteran made his debut back in February 2014 and competed 15 times in the promotion’s lightweight and welterweight divisions.

During his career, the 33-year-old faced fighters like Beneil Dariush, Demian Maia, Jake Matthews and Neil Magny.

Anthony Rocco Martin parted ways with the UFC after completing his contract.
