Italian lightweight prospect Dumitru Girlean (8-2) faces the toughest challenge of his career this Saturday at Cage Warriors 181, where he will go head-to-head with the dangerous finisher James Power (7-1).
“Power fights smart,” Girlean tells Frontkick in an exclusive interview. “He is strong in the striking but he also knows how to use his wrestling well. He is a complete fighter.”
When it comes to stoppages, Girlean is as lethal as they come. All eight of his victories have ended before the final bell, showcasing his skills with wins by both submission and strikes.
“Match after match I try to improve my skills in both strike and wrestling. Fixing errors that I would like to avoid in the future. Mental focus is a big part of my work.”
Dumitru Girlean: “I don’t like talking about the future”

With a win against Power, what would be your next step in Cage Warriors?
