Guram Kutateladze vs Jordan Vucenic Frontkick

The lightweight matchup between Swedish-Georgian Guram Kutateladze and former Cage Warriors champion Jordan Vucenic just went down in the prelims of the UFC on ABC 7 card.

Vucenic looked calm right from the start and showed off some quick and slick boxing combinations. At the two minute mark, he dropped Kutateladze with a right hand and followed up on the ground. The Swedish-Georgian was able to survive and started to work from his back.

The second round started at a neck-breaking pace. Kutateladze found success as he started to land more shots. The pair clinched up and the Swedish-Georgian landed some good knees before stepping it up on the feet, landing a flush left to the liver.

The pair went out with all guns blazing in the third and final round but ended up in a clinch. Vucenic was looking for a takedown but Kutateladze was the one getting the advantage position on the ground. At the two minute mark, the “Georgian Viking” took the back after a creative move and started to hammer on Vucenic with fists.

After the final bell, Kutateladze stood as the winner with 29-28 on all three scorecards.

Important win for Guram Kutateladze

The fight marked the promotional debut of Vucenic, who took the fight on short notice. He fought as late as July 20, at Cage Warriors 174. He then stopped Adrian Kepa with a first-round submission.

Guram Kutateladze entered the octagon on a two-fight losing skid after setbacks to Elves Brenner and Damir Ismagulov. Now, he’s back in the win column.
