A potential title shot and unblemished records are on the line in the co-main event at tomorrow’s UFC 310.

Ian Machado Garry and Shavkat Rakhmonov are the next generation UFC welterweights. They are skilled, tough, and undefeated, yet their contrasting fighting styles promise an interesting showdown. While Garry is calculating and tactical, Rakhmonov is violent and more reckless.

The Kazakh is just such a beast that the Irishman needs to fight absolutely perfectly for 25 minutes to win, while Shavkat proves time and again that he only needs one opportunity to finish any fight. Therefore I consider Rakhmonov to be a slight favorite on Saturday.

With that said, Garry is definitely a fighter who could knock out any opponent, especially someone who has a tendency to throw caution to the wind.
