Two-time featherweight title contender Brian “T-City” Ortega suffered a lot of injuries during his successful career. In his latest fight against Yair Rodríguez he injured his shoulder in the first round, an injury which required surgery.

“T-City” recently opened up on the healing process on social media, but left no updates on when the fans can expect to see him in the octagon again.

“Bout a month in a half ago I had my shoulder operated on. I usually sit around and let these operations (cause I’ve had a few ) take me into dark places. Not this time, I will remain working with the things I can do and keep working hard and staying at it. Thank you for those who ride with me,” Ortega recently wrote in an Instagram post.
