A fight between Swedish middleweight Jack “The Joker” Hermansson and veteran Derek Brunson is slated for a UFC event that takes place on December 3, according to MMA journalist Ariel Helwani.
In a recent interview with Helwani, Jack Hermansson revealed that he wanted to fight Brunson next.
”I’ve been thinking about it a little bit more, and Derek Brunson,” Hermansson said. “He said he is going to have one more fight. He is up there in the rankings you know, I want to get up there. He wants another good fight. Why not fight the Joker?”
In his last bout, “The Joker defeated Chris Curtis at UFC London. Hermansson was supposed to fight Darren Till in the co-main event, but the Liverpool fighter had to pull out just weeks before the bout.
All in all the No. 8 ranked Swede has a record of 23-7.
No. 4 ranked Derek Brunson comes from a second-round KO-loss against Jared Cannonier KO at UFC 271 on February 12. The American has a record of 23-8.
