ONE Championship bantamweight Muay Thai champion Jonathan Haggerty will test himself against flyweight kickboxing champ Superlek Kiatmoo9 in an all-champ super fight at ONE 168. The title bout will serve as the headliner at the event that goes down on September 6 in Denver, Colorado.

The 27-year-old British champion recently explained why his mega fight with Superlek will be must-see for every fight fan.

“I feel our styles are the same. We’re both aggressive. We both come for the knockout. I’d say we’re both up there as pound-for-pound bests,” Haggerty told ONE.

“This is where I want to fight and to be headlining the show”

The two fighters clashed back in 2018, with Superlek coming out as the winner via TKO. Now, he can’t wait to avenge the loss on September 6.

“I’m just gonna put that power and pressure on him. I’m not sure he’s gonna enjoy it,” Haggerty told the Sky Sports MMA Club podcast.

“I fought him before, around seven to eight years ago, and he managed to stop me in the second round due to a cut. But, now it’s the time to get revenge, and I’m excited for it.”

To fight in the US is a dream come true for the British fighter.

“This is probably one of the most important fights in my career, and if not, it will be one of the most important fights,” Haggerty said about the fight. “To be fighting out in the U.S. is exciting for me, because I remember, when I was a child, I used to grow up watching the fights in the American cards, all the crowd. I always told myself, and I always told my dad, this is where I want to fight and to be headlining the show.”
