Swedish wrestler Jonna Malmgren continues to rack up successes on the mat.
At the U23 World Championships in Tirana, Albania, the Swede won gold at 55 kilos after defeating Mexico’s Zeltzin Hernandez Guerra. Malmgren dominated her opponent to get the win with 10-0.
“Ending my competitive season with a long awaited U23 WC gold and (The Swedish Wrestling Team’s) first (ever) just a thing like that,” Malmgren wrote on Instagram. “So grateful for my team around me who are always there in success and adversity.”
The Swede racked up three straight convincing wins to face Hernandez Guerra in the finals.
