Superior light heavyweight champion Karl Albrektsson is preparing for his long-awaited return to the cage as he’s set to defend his strap at Superior Challenge 27. The card will go down at Annexet in Stockholm on November 30.
In an interview with Matias Andres from Maximum Sports, the champion explains the feeling to once again step into the cage at Superior Challenge.
“I love competing at home in front of family and friends,” Albrektsson said. “I’ve fought all over the world, but it always feels extra special to be on home turf. Superior gives me the opportunity to be active and do what I love thanks to their good cooperation with the big foreign organizations. Getting the chance to compete at Superior means a lot to me, it gives me meaning.”
Albrektsson has a message to the Swedish MMA fans ahead of Superior Challenge 27.
“Fighting should be experienced live and preferably as close to the cage as possible. Everyone who’s competing gives it all in the training camp to deliver the best possible entertainment. Come watch and enjoy as we deliver violent entertainment.”
