Swedish top prospect Martin Corney is now back for his second pro fight and will welcome Spain’s David Hidalgo to the pro leagues! The featherweight bout will take place at Fight Club Rush 19 in Stockholm on February 24th.
Corney has been a talent to keep an eye on for a long time with impressive amateur wins over the likes of Anton Ringvall, Jafar Yousifi and Anton Hellström. Last autumn Corney made the move to pro, facing undefeated Finnish prospect Waltteri Häkkinen at FCR 17. Corney was struck with a heavy shot early in the fight and struggled to recover, eventually succumbing to a modified rear naked choke.
Much like his opponent, Hidalgo has a storied amateur career that includes a silver in the Spanish amateur MMA championships last year, leading to him representing his nation at the IMMAF World Championships. Looking to make his pro debut on the same card as his countryman Hecher Sosa Hidalgo is looking to make a statement in his pro debut.

Current fight card for FCR 19
Fight Club Rush 19 will take place on February 24 at Quality Hotel in Stockholm. The event is the promotion’s third in the Swedish capital.
The FCR 19 fight card features a bantamweight title fight where Tuomas Grönvall will clash with fan favorite Hecher Sosa for the vacant belt.
