White criticizes O’Malley after at UFC 306
UFC CEO Dana White criticized Sean O’Malley after lackluster performance at UFC 306. For the entire five-round fight, O’Malley only connected with 47 significant strikes.
“He looked flat,” White said at the UFC 306 post-fight press conference. “He didn’t look sharp.”
“He didn’t look crisp until the last round. He hurt him with that body shot and he knew he hurt him with the body shot, and he kept going in trying to finish. But I looked at the punch stats, it was like six in a couple of the rounds.”
Chandler not mad at McGregor over UFC career holdup
Michael Chandler will finally be back in action in November to face Charles Oliveira. The American is closing in on two years away from the sport due to hold-ups and postponements of a fight with Conor McGregor that never came to fruition.
“I’m not mad at him at all. I wish Conor the best. He’s earned every right to be in the position that he is. He’s earned every right to do what he wants to do and operate the way he wants to operate,” Chandler said about the hold-up.
