Swedish heavyweight king Otto Wallin is back for another big international fight. The contest against veteran Derek Chisora will go down at the Co-op Live in Manchester on February 8.

“It will be fun to box in England,” Wallin said in an interview with Swedish combat sports outlet Maximum Sports. The fans are very passionate, but it will be fun to fight on enemy tuf and get an ‘upset win’. I don’t know if you should call it an upset though. I want to bring the win back home to Sweden.”

The UK heavyweight Chisora is 40 years old and fought many of the division’s top names – including Vitali Klitschko, Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk – since turning pro in 2007.

“Chisora is a reasonably good boxer, a tough guy who always comes to fight. He calls himself “War”, that describes him quite well. He’s a bit one-sided, but he’s good at what he’s good at,” Wallin said.

A big chance for Otto Wallin

The Swedish southpawn is coming off a win against Onoriode Ehwarieme in July. The victory marked the return to the winning column after the tough loss to Anthony Joshua last December.

If Wallin beats Chisora he will once again put himself close to the absolute top of the division.

“I know that if I win the fight it will take me even higher in the rankings and I will be in a good position for a pretty big fight. It’s exciting. This is a good opportunity, but first I really need to beat Chisora or I can just forget about everything else. Wallin said.
