UFC star Paddy Pimblett just clashed with veteran Bobby Green on the main card of UFC 304 in Manchester, England.
The first round started as a tactical striking match where both fighters found success. Pimblett landed a couple of good leg kicks before finding a submission that eventually put Green to sleep.
“Statement made, bitches,” Pimblett said in the post-fight interview. “I’m the first person to submit Bobby in the UFC. That’s a statement.”
The British lightweight want to return before the end of the year.
“I want a name that everybody wants me to fight. Renato Moicano.”
Pimblett entered the fight with a 21-3 record, 5-0 in the UFC. Ahead of the fight, he revealed that he had been close to cancel the fight due to depression.
“About five or six weeks ago my coach was thinking about pulling me out. Mentally I just wasn’t there,” Pimblett told SkySports.
