The 2024 PFL 2 just took place at The Theater at Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas, and featured the first round of light heavyweight and lightweight regular season bouts.

The main event would see last seasons light heavyweight winner; Impa Kasangenay, score a big first round TKO over Alex Polizzi – securing six points in in the playoffs.

The card featured Swedish former welterweight PFL champion Sadibou Sy who made his debut at light heavyweight. He faced last year’s finalist Josh Silveira.

The bout ended in controversy and injury, unfortunately. While defending a takedown early in the first round Sy injured his thumb, with it seemingly getting dislocated. Sy signalled to referee Marc Goddard who intervened, the fight being stopped via TKO.

It’s currently unclear as to when Sy can return to action.
