Rodtang out of massive ONE main event, Superlek gets last-minute opponent
The long-awaited fight beteen Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Superlek Kiatmoo9 is off as Rodtang withdraws from the fight due to an injury.
The bout was scheduled for ONE Fight Night 8 main event in Singapore on March 24.
ONE Championship flyweight kickboxing champion Superlek will now defend his title against Danial Williams, who comes to the rescue with short notice.
“Thank you Rodtang. The first time you give me fight of the year and now you’re stepping out so you can give me another fight of the year against Superlek,” Williams said about the upcoming fight. “I’m gonna go in there super hard. I’m coming for that belt. I’m gonna be absolutely gutted if I don’t get it. So expect fireworks, I’m coming for you Superlek.”

Not known what injury Rodtang suffered
What kind of injury ONE’s flyweight Muay Thai champ Rodtang is suffering is not known at the moment.
He is already scheduled to defend the title against Edgar Tabares on May 5, at ONE Fight Night 10. The fight is set to take place in Colorado, US.
