Rose Namajunas is back in action for the first time since losing her strawweight title in May.
On December 30 the two-time UFC strawweight champion will face UFC veteran Gillian Robertson in a grappling match in the main event of FURY 6.
“Competing in grappling was one of a few different goals I had for myself before I were to compete in fighting again,” Namajunas recently said in a statement. “I’m very grateful for this opportunity to compete for FURY grappling. I’m very excited.”
The Canadian 27-year-old Robertson is happy to fight the former strawweight champion.
“It’s great to be back with FURY for another extremely high profile card,” she said. “I am thankful for the opportunity to share the mat with such a notable opponent like Rose Namajunas.”
Beside the thrilling grappling match between Namajunas and Robertson, the Fury 6 card features a bunch of other UFC fighters.
We will see 41 year old lightweight veteran Clay Guida take on 23 year old featherweight Chase Hooper in an interesting bout. The card also features names like Eryk Anders, Ovince St. Preux, Pat Sabatini and Alex Caceres.
