Swedish fan favourite Safi Husseini is back for yet another bout in Finland’s number one MMA promotion: CAGE MMA!
Husseini will jump in on short notice to replace Brazilian Lucas Perreira in a bout with Finnish striker Mici Saaristo. That fight will be contested at a 63 kilogram catchweight and goes down at CAGE 61 in Helsinki, February 10th.
Husseini has a solid wrestling background and won silver in the Swedish wrestling championships 2022. The Västerås Fight Club fighter needed just eleven seconds to knock out Jakob Valegren in hs debut. Following that record-setting performance Hussein his a snag in his career with two straight losses against elite fighters Amir Malekpour and Jonny Touma.
Since then, however, Husseini has rebounded with two straight, impressive wins in CAGE over local fighters Hama Dara and Karvann Ahmadi.
Saaristo is a former representative of the Finnish National MMA Team. He made his pro debut in Sweden against Glenn McVeigh, losing via first round submission. After going 1-2 in his following three fights Saaristo has rebounded with two straight knockout wins.

CAGE 61 with Safi Husseini – preliminary fight card
Per usual, CAGE 61 will go down at the House of Culture in the Finnish capital and features a slew of well established Finns on the card. Knockout artist Edward Walls returns in the mai nevent against Brazilian Alexsandro
