UAE Warriors 50 just wrapped up in Abu Dhabi where rising Swedish MMA star and former Muay Thai champion Samuel Bark won the promotion’s featherweight world title after a grueling fight against UFC vet Ali AlQaisi.

Bark, nicknamed “Sammon Decker” was the aggressor throughout the five-round contest, while AlQaisi basically didn’t seem to want to fight at all. The champion moved around in circles and more or less ran away at times. He also tried to push the Swede against the fence, but didn’t get much done other some questionable control time as Bark displayed phenomenal takedown defense as always.

Samuel Bark won on every scorecard, UFC next?

Bark had AlQaisi hurt at multiple times and tried his best to land knees and punches even when he was tied up against the cage. The output paid off in the end as all three judges gave him the nod with 48-47 scorecards across the board.

Samuel Bark now moves to 10-2 and could very well be the next Swedish fighter to make it to the UFC, or to secure a spot in this year’s season of Dana White’s Contender Series. Either way, the future sure looks bright for new UAE Warriors featherweight world champ.
