Tobias Harila returns for fight in Cage Warriors

Swedish MMA fighter Tobias Harila (13-4) is once again ready to step into the cage, this time at Cage Warriors 180 in London.

He will take on Adam Cullen (8-2) in a lightweight bout. The winner will put himself in a good position to fight for the title in 2025.

Harila is coming from a tough battle at FCR 20 in June. He defeated Levan Kirtadze on points and got a  30.000 SEK Fight of the Night bonus.

Diego Lopes claims he’s UFC 308 backup fighter

Rising featherweight star Diego Lopes announced Friday that he’ll serve as the backup fighter for the UFC 308 title fight between champion Ilia Topuria and challenger Max “Blessed” Holloway.

“Officially back up for the fight on October 26th,” Lopes wrote on Instagram.

UFC 308 will go down at Etihad Arena on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.

Dvalishvili teases O’Malley rematch for UFC 309

The newly crowned UFC bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili offers Sean O’Malley a rematch at UFC 309.

“I hear O’Malley thinks he won the fight and is looking for a rematch,” Dvalishvili wrote in a Twitter post tagging O’Malley.” If he wants it, he can have it. Let’s do Nov. 16 at the Garden and then I’ll still defend the title against whoever the UFC wants me to fight next. What do you think?”

Pennington ready for Harrison if Peña pulls out of title fight

UFC women’s bantamweight champion Raquel Pennington claims she’s preparing for two opponents at UFC 307.

“Honestly, I prepared for this as both Julianna (Peña) and Kayla (Harrison),” Pennington told MMA Junkie. “Julianna does have a history of getting injured. I know that Kayla made the comment about wanting to be the backup fighter.”
