The first of several possible titel bouts scheduled for Fight Club Rush 16 is now here as Amir Malekpour (4-2) and Renato Vidovic (4-1) will battle it out for the vacant flyweight title! FCR officials announced the fight via social media just recently.
Malekpour is a European Amateur MMA Champion and made his pro debut in april 2019, winning a decision over seasoned veteran Martin Fouda. Since his pro debut Malekpour has proven himself to be must-see TV, always leaving it all in the cage and constantly giving the fans thrilling performances.
Currently Malekpour has won three out of his last four fights, with the lone loss – a KO from Alexander Lööf – coming at the end of a fight he was winning. Aside from that Malekpour holds a decision win over Safi Husseini as well as finishes over Ilaz Zabelaj and most recently Denmark’s Mack Promanée at FCR 15.
Vidovic is a four-time Swedish Aamteur MMA Champion with two gold medals in the IMMAF European Championships. He lost his pro debut against Finnish powerhouse Tuomas Grönvall in February 2019, but has stayed perfect since.
The Gothenburg native has lined up four straight wins, all but one via finish. In his ongoing win streak he has defeated the likes of Eli Elias, Rohulla Yousofi and most recently Bellatorveteran Binh Son Le.

Current fight card for FCR 16
A few days back, the promotion announced that fan favorite Zoran Milic will return to clash with Rohulla Yousofi in a flyweight bout. The two were scheduled to fight in November, but the fight fell through due to an injury.
FCR 16 also features Stockholm star Nabbe Malki who will take on the dangerous striker Ebrima Faal.
TV star and MMA fighter Liam Pitts will be back in the cage to test himself against Gothenburg’s Enes Ahmemulic. Pitts made his MMA debut at Fight Club Rush 11 in May last year.
