UFC signs former two-division ONE Championship titleholder
The UFC has signed former two-division ONE Championship titleholder Reinier de Ridder (17-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC) to its roster. The news first surfaced through UFC Roster Tracker on X.
The 34-year-old previously held the ONE Championship middleweight and light heavyweight titles.
According to MMA Junkie, de Ridder’s promotional debut will go down at middleweight.
Paddy Pimblett sets timeline for next UFC fight
UFC star Paddy Pimblett has an opponent in mind and sees two potential options for his next fight.
“I think the only card that I could possibly fight on is December again in Vegas, but nothing’s been said at the minute. I know (Renato) Moicano’s fighting (this) week, can’t see him coming back soon enough for December, so could end up being next year, early next year,” Pimblett said in an interview.
Dana White promises boxing updates in early 2025
UFC CEO Dana White claims he is serious about moving into boxing in the foreseeable future.
“I did my first fight in Ireland and we’ll start announcing stuff here [at the] beginning of 2025,” White recently said.
What White is referring to is the fight between Callum Walsh and Przemyslaw Runowski this past weekend in Dublin. The UFC CEO and Walsh’s promoter Tom Loefller have a long relationship and the event was streamed live on UFC Fight Pass.
