Strikeforce and BKFC veteran arrested for murder
Strikeforce and BKFC veteran Lumumba Sayers was arrested this past Saturday after he allegedly shot a a man at a child’s birthday party. That’s according to Denver7.
He is currently in custody on first-degree murder and felony menacing charges. That’s according to MMA Fighting.
Sayers last competed in March when he fought at a BKFC event in Denver.
Chris Curtis out of Kevin Holland fight at UFC 307
Middleweight veteran Chris Curtis revealed that he suffered an injury in training that will prevent him from competing against Kevin Holland at UFC 307. He will be out until late 2024 or early 2025.
“I’m fine, guys. Bit of a fracture in my left foot,” Curtis wrote on X.
Namajunas vs. Blanchfield headlines UFC’s return to Edmonton
Top ranked flyweights Rose Namajunas and Erin Blanchfield will headline UFC’s return to Canada. The card will take place on Nov. 2 at the Rogers Place in Edmonton. UFC CEO Dana White announced the fight.

Derrick “The Black Beast” Lewis will return to fight Alexandr Romanov in a three-round heavyweight bout at the UFC’s return event in Edmonton. UFC CEO Dana White announced the fight.
Heavyweight veteran Lewis has won two of his most recent three fights.
