UFC interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall just clashed with Curtis Blaydes in the UFC 304 co-main event. The hometown fans went absolutely mental as the champ entered the octagon.
Early in the first round, Aspinall connected with a jab that sat Blaydes down. The interim champion followed up with a flurry of punches that made the referee stop the fight.
“We needed to put that one to bed. It was a freak accident, now I got my revenge,” Aspinall said in the post-fight interview. “I’m the best finisher in the UFC.”‘

Tom Aspinall won the strap in November
Tom Aspinall’s sole lost came against Curtis Blaydes back in July 2022 as he suffered a knee injury just 15 seconds into the fight.
The Brit came back stronger than ever, racking up two straight wins, including a interim title fight victory against Sergei Pavlovich this past November. Aspinall got the win with a brutal first-round KO.
