Brazilian UFC veteran Felipe Colares is dead after being hit by a bus in Rio de Janeiro. He passed away at 29.

Brazilian media outlet Combate reported that the tragic incident took place Monday morning, and the news was later confirmed by MMA Fighting.

Felipe Colares fought six fights in the UFC

When former Jungle Fight featherweight champion Felipe Colares made his UFC debut in February 2019, he was undefeated as a pro fighter with a record of 8-0.

He fought six times in the promotion, and went 2-4, with decision wins over Domingo Pilarte and Luke Sanders. In his last UFC fight in May 2022 he lost to Chase Hooper.

In his only fight after departing from the UFC he defeated Alioune Nahaye at Ares FC 12 on February 17, 2023 . He won the fight via rear-naked choke in the first round.
