Yesterday’s OKTAGON 65 delivered a lot of high caliber MMA action! The card featured the € 1 million tournament lightweight finals, as well as a bunch of highly interesting matchups, including two more title fights.

Check out Tobias Lindkvist’s five biggest takeaways from the epic night in Prague.

Agy Sardari made a statement

Agy Sardari made quite a statement in yesterday’s battle against Ognjen Dimic.

In all fairness, Dimic took the fight on short notice, but Sardari put on a great performance and ended the bout via submission in round 2.

The win puts ”The Wolverine” in a great position to challenge his rival Losene Keita for a rematch with the lightweight title on the line. That’s a fight the fans certainly want to see!

No one can stop the Black Panther!

Some fighters possess a unique aura that captivates the crowd the moment they step into the cage. OKTAGON double champion Losene ”Black Panther” Keita is undoubtedly one of them.

Yesterday, he delivered a masterclass in controlled aggression and pace management, forcing the much taller Ronald Paradeiser to fight within his range. And when the time was right, Keita stepped on the gas and finished the fight seemingly without any trouble.

There’s no doubt in my mind that the ”Black Panther” can rise to the top in any promotion in the world, including the UFC, if he just wanted to.

But why would he do that?

Keita just turned 27 and is already the biggest star in the biggest organization in Europe. He’s making more money than he would do in any other promotion right now and headlines the biggest MMA shows on the continent.

If the UFC wants to sign him they certainly need to make him a good offer!

What’s Vemola’s chin made of?!

How much damage can a man take?

Karlos Vemola must be one of the toughest light heavyweights in the world. The punishment he took over five rounds was just unnatural.

The veteran staggered around the cage after eating knees and punches, but refused to fall. The referee must have seen something that no one else saw, because he let the fight go on. I wanted it to stop in the third.

Daniel Schwindt’s crazy debut

Controversial? Yes.

Entertaining? Hell yes!

The fight between newcomer Daniel Schwindt, who took the fight on short notice, and Radovan Uskrt turned out to be a violent and crazy back-and-forth battle that could have gone either way.

The referee temporarily paused the action following a knee from Uskrt that was initially questioned but ultimately deemed legal. This pivotal moment shifted the momentum, allowing Schwindt to recover and secure a second-round TKO victory via ground-and-pound.

Cecilie Bolander is a star!

What a champ she is, the Norwegian 28-year-old!

Cecilie Bolander has taken the European MMA scene by storm since her OKTAGON debut in September. Her ability to dig deep, deliver violent action and overcome difficulties has won the hearts of MMA fans all over the continent. Going into 2025, Bolander is one of the hottest names in the promotion and a bright shining star on the European MMA scene.

This rivalry between Bolander and Pudilova has turned into a new classic. Both bouts have been violent, entertaining, razor-thin split decisions and I would love to see a third fight in 2025!
