Cage Warriors Special: Here are the 6 welterweight PrizeFighter contestants!

PrizeFighter welterweight FrontkickCage Warriors has now confirmed the full lineup for the upcoming $50,000 welterweight PrizeFighter one-night tournament that will go down in Glasgow on September 7.

The six fighters will fight in the semi-final slots, with the remaining two athletes taking part in a reserve fight.

In addition, the welterweights can add $10,000 per bout in bonuses, by correctly predicting their round and method of victory.

Omiel Brown

  • Opponent: Omiel Brown takes on Henri Lintula

The lethal KO artist Omiel Brown fought all of his pro bouts in Cage Warriors and is one of the most experienced contestants in PrizeFighters. He’s also a training partner of former UFC welterweight title holder Leon ”Rocky” Edwards, which could prove vital in the tournament.

A win in PrizeFighter could possibly give him a second shot at CW gold as well as $50,000.

Bourama Camara

  • Opponent: Bourama Camara takes on Marko Kisic

French striker Bourama Camara stands at 193 cm (6’4) which makes him the tallest and rangiest of the six welterweight contestants.

The 26-year-old former Bellator fighter will take on Marko Kisic in the first of possible two fights.

  • Opponent: Marko Kisic takes on Bourama Camara

The most experienced fighter in the tournament is perhaps Marko Kisic.

The 31-year-old Austrian fought in promomotions like OKTAGON MMA and Brave FC – where he faced Khamzat Chimaev – and will be relying on his veteran tricks to bag te 50 G’s.

  • Opponent: Henri Lintula takes on Omiel Brown

Finland’s Henri Lintula has been around for a while. A veteran from FCR, where he beat Cage Warriors title challenger Robin Roos, Lintula has proven to be a dangerous grappling specialist.

The 33-year-old is looking to bring home the glory to the Sisu Gym.

  • Opponent: Sean Clancy Jr takes on Jakob Scheffel

Rising star Sean Clancy Jr will be looking to get the win against Jakob Scheffel in the first fight. Unbeaten, with four straight stoppage wins, the 21-year-old is a surging star on the UK MMA scene.

Winning the PrizeFighter tournament could be a huge step in the young and promising career of Clancy Jr.

  • Opponent: Sean Clancy Jr takes on Jakob Scheffel

American welterweight Jakob Scheffel is one of two undefeated fighters in the tournament. The 30-year-old previously fought in promotions like Anthony Pettis FC and Combat Night.

As a NCAA wrestler he will use his outstanding skills on the mat to grind out the wins that secures him the $50,000.
