Dana White saw it coming!
The outspoken UFC CEO wasn’t surprised to see Francis Ngannou get destroyed by Anthony Joshua withing two rounds.
“Going into the Fury fight, if Fury trained for the fight and didn’t show up and look like he ate Tyson Fury, that’s probably the way that fight would have ended too,” White said about the knockout.
The UFC CEO has many times mentioned that he never wants to see MMA fighters stepping into the ring.
“You know how I feel about crossovers into boxing,” White said. “That’s how they end. Just like that.”
In the first round, Joshua floored his opponent with a deadly straight right hand. A stunned Ngannou was able to get up and continue the fight. In the second round, however, Joshua stepped on the gas and floored his opponent again and this time the former UFC champ bareley survived.
When Joshua landed a third flush right Ngannou got knocked out cold.
“He was quite special because he stopped me. He did what Tyson Fury couldn’t do,” Ngannou said after the knock out.
“I should be the WBC heavyweight champion of the world,” Joshua said after the fight.
