Five fights you won’t want to miss at this Saturday’s Superior Challenge 27!

It’s fight week!
On Saturday November 30, Superior Challenge returns with another stacked card at Annexet in Stockholm. The headline light heavyweight bout with the reigning champion ”King” Karl Albrektsson is the obvious highlight of the card, but there are a lot of cool fights to check out.
On the undercard we will see a bunch of awesome amateur matchups as Superior Academy pulled together a great card filled with upcoming talent.

Karl Albrektsson vs. Chuck Campbell

In the light heavyweight title bout we will see”King” Karl Albrektsson (14-5) defend his title for the first time as he’s taking on Bellator and PFL veteran Chuck Campbell (7-4).
Since winning the strap in November last year, Albrektsson has unfortunately been pulled from of a number of fights in both Superior Challenge and PFL. On Saturday, however, he will finally be back in action.
“I love competing at home in front of family and friends,” Albrektsson recently told Maximum Sports. about the upcoming title fight. “I’ve fought all over the world, but it always feels extra special to be on home turf. Superior gives me the opportunity to be active and do what I love thanks to their good cooperation with the big foreign organizations. Getting the chance to compete at Superior means a lot to me, it gives me meaning.”
Campbell is coming off a decision win and is competing on Swedish soil for the first time. Representing the world-famous American Kickboxing Academy, he’s looking to silence Albrektsson’s supporters and return to the US with the Superior Challenge belt.
Bartosz Wojcikiewicz vs. Araik Margarian

The bantamweight title bout between Superior Challenge fan favorite Bartosz Wojcikiewicz (9-2) and French veteran Araik Margarian (26-13) is one of the absolute highlights of the card.
Wojcikiewicz, also known as ”The Destroyer”, has won two of his last three fights and is looking to finally get his hands on the title of the organization where he has competed since his debut.
Will Margarian spoil the fun or will the Swede finally get his belt? We just can’t wait for the exciting co-main event on Saturday!
Aitana Alvarez vs. Yurivia Jimenez

The women’s flyweight fight between Allstars Training Center’s Aitana Alvarez (6-7) and undefeated Nicaraguan prospect Yurivia Jimenez (3-0) is one of the most interesting fights on the Superior Challenge 27 fight card.
Alvarez, who’s got back-to-back losses going into the fight, is in big need of winning the bout to get back on track.
“I’m going to show that I’m some steps above her fighting level,” Alvarez said about the matchup. “I predict that it’s going to be a stand-up matchup. I think it will be a challenging fight. She’s undefeated so it’s going to be my job to take that zero off her record. It’s going to be a war.”
Jimenez is a prospect on the growing Nicaraguan MMA scene. She intends to show the Scandinavian fight fans what she’s made of and put a halt to Alvarez’s plans.
”I know she wants to win as much as I do, but in the end, the best wins, and I believe in myself. My goal is to become a big name in MMA in Nicaragua, Jimenez recently told Maximum Sports.

The amateur lightweight title bout between reigning champion Martin Karlsson and challenger Viktor Mangs is a must-watch on Saturday!
Karlsson won the inagural lightweight title in September by defeating his rival William Karlsson during Superior Academy 1 and got his mind set on making a statement in his first title defense.
The challenger Mangs, however, is confident that he will be crowned the new champion come Saturday.
”Getting to fight for the belt at Superior Academy 2 feels like great fun,” Mangs told Maximum Sports. ”I know there are many who want this opportunity, so I am grateful for it. As we have fought before, I have a pretty good grasp of him. I think I know pretty well how he likes to fight and what he brings to the cage. Martin is tough and powerful but one-dimensional.”

The intense Mohsen Akbari is one of the most entertaining amateurs in Sweden right now. He became a viral sensation after the first Superior Academy card where he delievered some of the most vicious leg kicks we’ve seen in a long time.
On the Superior Academy undercard he will take on Henric Lönnroth and it will be very interesting to se if Akbari can live up to the hype and with another crazy performance.
