Saturday’s Fight Club Rush 15 delivered a whole lot of great MMA fights and knockouts no one in the crowd will ever forget!

Check out Frontkick’s five takeaways from the event!

The future is bright for Bernardo Sopai

With a crazy 20 second one-punch KO, young bantamweight champion Bernardo Sopai really put himself on the map as a fighter to be reckoned with.

The Sweden-based Albanian fighter could very well be the next Allstars fighter to secure a deal with the UFC. Will Sopai stay in FCR for a few more fight or is it time to cross the pond for the big leagues?

The Danish invasion failed

No less than four Danish fighters were competing on the card, however, the only fighter to win was amateur Abdullah Ali Amer who pulled off a unanimous decision on the prelims.

If the bookings were intended as a first step to establish FCR on the Danish market, it’s fair to say that the red-white fighters failed to deliver from their part.

Alexander Lööf vs. Wasi Adeshina would be absolute fire

Alexander Lööf moved on to 5-0 as he defeated the tough and game veteran Fernando Flores in the co-main event. Even though the Västerås fighter is booked for a great fight in Cage Warriors next, I’d still like to see more of him in FCR.

And I believe a matchup with powerhouse Wasi ”The Nigerian Jaguar” Adeshina, who has four straight wins in FCR, would be an absolute banger. We hope that the promotion sees what we see and books that fight for a future event.

Hecher Sosa for the Fight Club Rush bantamweight strap

Spanish fan-favorite Hecher Sosa delivered a new solid win and has lately established himself as a staple in the promotion’s bantamweight division. With three wins in FCR, Sosa could very well be next in line to fight for the belt.

Make it happen!

Improved production

With the well-organized and successful Stockholm event, Fight Club Rush took another step towards becoming the leading MMA promotion in Scandinavia.

Covering the event on site, I was well taken care of and felt that FCR had listened to feedback from the Swedish MMA community and made efforts to improve. That’s always nice to see!
