Swedish-Georgian UFC lightweight Guram Kutateladze has been training with the reigning featherweight champion Ilia Topuria in preparation for the upcoming title fight against Max Holloway on Saturday.

”Ilia is very talented,” Kutateladze said in the latest episode of UFC Embedded. ”It’s not only the talent, he’s developing all the time. His grappling, his boxing, there’s nobody just right now, especially in his weight class, who can match (him).”

Holloway is a seasoned fighter and champion, with wins against Justin Gaethje, Korean Zombie, Yair Rodriguez, Frankie Edgar, Brian Ortega, Jose Aldo and Charles Oliveira – just to name a few.

Kutateladze still thinks Topuria will get it done in Abu Dhabi.

”He’s feeling good and strong, fast, explosive. All the respect to Max, you know, but Ilia is here to be a champion, to be a BMF. Now it’s his time.”

Ilia Topuria vows to break UFC KO record

Ilia Topuria has been vocal about his desire to be the first man to knock out Holloway.

”I feel very excited to be the first man to knock him out,” Topuria said about facing the former champion. ”Actually, if he stays in the middle of the octagon, I will knock him out in the first ten seconds. You are going to see the fastest knockout in UFC history. Just don’t blink.”

”It’s going to be the most exciting first ten seconds in the UFC and mixed martial arts history.”
