Once again it’s heated at the top of the OKTAGON MMA bantamweight division.
Former champion Jonas ”Shark” Mågård may have lost his strap to Felipe ”D’Ouro” Lima this past July but still thinks the Swedish-Brazilian is running away from him.
The Danish former title holder defeated Jack Cartwright via unanimous decision in his comeback fight and now he’s looking for a rematch with Lima by calling out the champion on social media.
”I can’t believe it Lima, you are running. I am the number one contender stop being scared,” Mågård said in a video recently published on Instagram.
”Nr 1 for a reason! And still (waiting). I thought this was MMA not a ultramarathon,” the caption said.
Felipe Lima He began his pro fighting career in 2015. After suffering defeat in his debut he went on winning every fight since, currently holding a streak of 12 wins in a row.
In 2021 he won the Fight Club Rush bantamweight title with a spectacular flying knee KO and on July 28, 2023, he put on a dominant performance against OKTAGON MMA champion Mågård to snatch the belt via unanimous decision.
