OKTAGON MMA has a new heavyweight challenger on the roster. On this upcoming Saturday’s massive card in Stuttgart, UFC veteran Josh Parisian will make his debut against No. 1 ranked Lazar Todev.
The heavyweight showdown between No. 1 ranked Lazar Todev and unranked UFC-veteran Josh Parisian has title eliminator written all over it.
The fight marks Parisian’s OKTAGON MMA debut, and the American heavyweigt is eager to step into the cage in Germany to show European MMA fans what he’s made of.
”I feel light on my feet and light in my mind. I’m feeling confident with my prep and the game plan,” Parisian tells Frontkick.
Todev comes from a win against Luis Henrique Barbosa and is looking to get a rematch with reigning champion Will Fleury by beating Parisian. The American, however, comes to spoil the party and make a statement in his promotional debut.
”I know he’s very sound fundamentally, doesn’t get out of position or give ground easily. The game plan is always to knock my opponents out cold, but he’s durable, so we’ll see.”
Josh Parisian has his mind set to make a statement in his debut. A win on Saturday could launch him straight into title contention, and that’s exactly the plan.
”OKTAGON made no promises, but I’m going to push for it,” Parisian tells Frontkick.
