The biggest fight in the history of women’s boxing is just one day away!
The rematch between undisputed champions Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano is as great as it gets. Two absolute stars. Undisputed champs in their prime. The faces of women’s boxing clashing in a fight with legacy and titles on the line.
But all we talk about is a loudmouthed YouTuber-turned-boxer and a 58-year-old former world champion duking it out in a ridiculous boxing matchup that should never have been booked in the first place.
I guess I shouldn’t complain too much though.
The fact that women’s boxing gets the biggest platform in the world – in the co-main event of the first Netflix boxing show – is nothing but awesome. And a lot of that is thanks to Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotion who’s representing Serrano.
I just wished that mainstream and combat sports media would give the rematch the recognition it deserves. It’s after all one of the absolute best boxing fights you can put on in 2024. Period.
The casuals will tune in for the main event, but all true boxing fans know which fight that is the real deal on tomorrow’s card.

The first fight between the pairing was in the talks for several years prior to its date and when it finally went down it made a huge impact in the world of boxing.
Taylor and Serrano would become the first female boxers to headline MSG on April 30, 2022, and they certainly put on a show for the fans. The even and entertaining fight went the distance and Taylor eventually stood as the winner by split decision, retaining her IBF, WBC and WBO women’s super-lightweight titles in the process. The fight was widely regarded as an instant classic and later won ’Fight of the Year’ from Sports Illustrated.
