UFC star Khazmat Chimaev made his professional MMA debut in May 2018.
The young prospect faced Norway’s Gard Olve Sagenin a middleweight bout and stood as the winner via first-round TKO, after an aggressive performance where he used both his solid striking and superior wrestling.
Ahead of UFC 294 on Saturday, the Swedish fight promotion FCR releases unseen behind the scene footage of a young Khamzat.
”Soon in the UFC,” Chimaev said back in 2018. ”Two years maximum.”
The MMA prospect was right, as he made his UFC debut on July 16, 2020, with a second-round submission against John Phillips.

UFC 294 fight card
UFC 294 takes place at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on Saturday October 21. Chimaev will take on former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman in a three-round middleweight co-main event.
