Latest update on Tony Ferguson’s DUI charge – just weeks before his fight!

Former UFC lightweight interim champion Tony ”El Cucuy” Ferguson has settled a court case stemming from an arrest on DUI charges in May, 2023. Ferguson reached a plea deal with the prosecutors.
As a result, Ferguson will be required to serve one year of probation. MMAJunkie was first to report the news of the updates.
In the early hours of May 7, 2023, the popular MMA fighter was arrested in Hollywood, California and charged with driving under the influence. He allegedly crashed his pickup truck into two other cars parked outside of a nightclub in Hollywood.
Tony Ferguson will face Paddy Pimblett
In his next fight, on UFC 296, ”El Cucuy” will face Paddy ”The Baddy” Pimblett in a three-round lightweight bout. Ferguson is 0-6 in his last fights, all against top level fighters like Justin Gaethje, Charles ”do Bronx” Oliveira and Michael Chandler.
In his last fight against Bobby ”King”Green, he lost via submission (arm-triangle choke) in the third round.
Pimblett is still undefeated in the UFC with four straight wins. In his last fight he defeated Jared Gordon via a controversial unanimous decision at UFC 292 in Las Vegas.
