Denmark has loads of skilled MMA fighters on the regional Nordic scene as well as on the world’s biggest stages.

This article is not intended to rank the athletes, but rather to give credit to some of the fantastic pro and amateur fighters coming out of Denmark right now.

With that said, here are some of the absolute best Danish MMA fighters at the moment!

Soren Bak

  • MMA record: 15-1

Soren ”The True Viking” Bak is one of the absolute top fighters in Denmark right now.

He’s been a force of nature in both Bellator and Cage Warriors and is one of Denmark’s most successful MMA fighters ever on the international scene.

Louis Glismann

  • MMA record: 12-3

Louis ”Spartacus” Glismann is a red-hot fighter on the European scene. With fights in Cage Warriors, ARES and Brave CF, the Copenhagen native was an experienced fighter before inking a deal with OKTAGON MMA.

Since his debut in 2023, Glismann fought four times in OKTAGON and pulled off three wins and one loss. Impressive indeed!

Simon Seiler

  • MMA record: 5-3

Simon Seiler is one dangerous finisher!

All his five wins have come via submission, and he’s currently on a two-fight winning streak. The 31-year-old is fighting out of Odense.

Mack Promanee

  • MMA record: 7-4

With three straight stoppage wins, Mack Promanee is on a roll!

The 27-year-old Cage Warriors veteran fought in various promotions around Europe and is a MMA Galla champion.

San Karem

  • Amateur MMA record: 3-0

The young and promising San Karem is a Danish amateur MMA champion with a lot of talent.

Make sure to keep an eye on Karem in the future!

Frederik Skov Strauss

  • MMA record: 6-2

Frederik Skov Strauss is a red-hot fighter on the Scandinavian scene. In his six last outings, he has five wins, four via stoppage. His only two pro losses came against Nordic top fighters Hecher Sosa and Bilal Tipsaev.

Mikkel Hennings

  • MMA record: 4-0

Undefeated MMA fighter Mikkel Hennings has been a force of nature since his pro debut in 2023. Three of his four wins have come via stoppage. Make sure to keep an eye on this prospect!

Rick Gangia

  • MMA record: 6-5

Rick Gangia is back in the win column after a year of struggle with a no-contest, a loss and two cancelled fights.

The 29-year-old competed in promotions like MMA Galla and FCR and has a finishing ratio of 50%.

Jonas Mågård

  • MMA record: 17-6

Former OKTAGON MMA bantamweight champion Jonas ”Shark” Mågård is a well-known fighter on the European MMA scene.

After losing the title to his rival Felipe Lima, in July 2023, the Manchester Top Team fighter racked up two straight unanimous decision wins in OKTAGON.

William Bodhi Mørck

  • Amateur MMA record: 12-1

William Bodhi Mørck is a Nordic MMA champion and a very interesting up-and-comer on the Nordic MMA scene. In his last outing, he defeated Sweden’s Elias Ksia via unanimous decision at MMA Galla Vol. 20.

Bodhi Mørck is training out of Phuket, Thailand, and has a bright future ahead of him.

Mads Burnell

  • MMA record: 20-6

Mads Burnell currently competes in the PFL, but is a veteran from the UFC, Bellator MMA and Cage Warriors, where he was a featherweight champion.

The 30-year-old has a 50% finishing rate and is known to be an entertaining fighter in the cage.

Sigurd Axel Rømer

  • Amateur MMA record: 4-1

Sigurd Rømer from Great Danes Fight Club in Odense has already made a name for himself on the national scene by winning the Danish championship in 2023.

A few weeks back he defeated the tough Swedish prospect Anton Ringvall via unanimous decision MMA Galla Vol. 20.

  • MMA record: 3-1

Janus Olsen is a powerful fighter with all of his three pro wins coming via stoppage in the first round. In his last outing he stopped Dejan Zeljko via TKO at MMA Galla Vol. 21.

Make sure to keep an eye out for Olsen in the future!

Jon Stadil Palm

  • Amateur MMA record: 8-1

Jon Stadil Palm is a bright shining star on the Danish amateur scene. After becoming a Danish National Champion in 2023, Stadil Palm delivered a beautiful first-round finish at the first Dominance FC in September.

He will be back in action at MMA Galla 22 in a couple of weeks!

Nicolas Dalby

  • MMA record: 23-5-1-2

Nicolas Dalby is perhaps the best known Danish UFC fighter ever.

The crafty former Cage Warriors champion is on his second run in the world’s leading MMA promotion and will return to action to face Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos in a rematch on November 9.

Mikkel Iversen

  • Amateur MMA record: 7-3

Mikkel Iversen has accomplished a lot as an amateur fighter. His career highlights so far are a gold medal at the Danish Championship, a gold medal in the Nordic Championship and a silver medal in the European Championship. Is it about time to go pro Mikkel?
