Swedish fight organization Muay Thai For Life will be the first-ever Muay Thai promotion to be broadcasted on DAZN, one of the leaders in global sports media. Saturday’s highly anticipated MTFL 3.0 event will be historic as it airs live on the major platform.
DAZN broadcasts the biggest boxing bouts in the world with fighters like Canelo Alvarez, Oleksandr Usyk, Anthony Joshua and Katie Taylor. Now they will expand the business with the fastest growing Muay Thai promotion in Europe.
Patrick Thomsen, founder of Lingnoi Promotions and promoter for the Muay Thai For Life series, is stoked about the new deal and explains why in a statement provided to Frontkick.online:
“This is huge for the expansion of the MTFL series and the Scandinavian Muay Thai scene overall, and most importantly it gives Muay Thai lovers all over the world a new way to watch top-notch fights from Europe’s fastest-growing Muay Thai series. DAZN is like Netflix for fight fans. They have millions of subscribers and have broadcasted some of the world’s biggest boxing fights through the last couple of years, making a massive impact on the sport of boxing. They’ve since added a variety of other sporting events to their major streaming platform and will now start offering Muay Thai action to their viewers as well, with MTFL breaking new ground as the very first Muay Thai series to be featured on DAZN. This is something I’ve been working on for a while now and I couldn’t be more happy to finally announce it and debut on DAZN with our stacked MTFL 3.0 fight card this Saturday.”
Besides ONE Championship, no other Muay Thai promotion in the world is broadcasted on such a huge platform. With the massive potential reach, Swedish promotion now becomes one of the industry leaders in Muay Thai.
Muay Thai For Life 3.0 airs globally on DAZN and features the best fight card ever since the series launched last year.
In the massive main event, former ONE Championship title contender and decorated champion Magnus “Crazy Viking” Andersson will square off against Danish-Moroccan star Youssef Assouik, who has several championships to his own name.
In the barn burner co-main event Freddy Castro Gonzalez – who’s coming off a massive head kick knockout – will face local fan favourite Robin Sundlöf, known to be one of the most skilled Muay Thai fighters in Sweden. Furthermore, we’ll get to see the reigning WMC European champion Nicholas Bryant return to action for a non-title bout against Danish WBC champion Johannes Bakke.
