Welterweight king Kamaru Usman is set to defend his title against No. 2 ranked contender Leon Edwards. The fight will be the main event of UFC 278 on August 20 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The two rivals first fought in December, 2015. A fight that Usman won via unanimous decision. Edwards has not lost since, and now, seven years and nine wins later, he is ready for his first ever title fight.

Jessica Andrade vs. Manon Fiorot

Jessica Andrade have agreed to replace injured Katlyn Chookagian, and will now engage in a flyweight bout against Manon Fiorot. The fight will take place at UFC Paris on September 3.

The former strawweight champion Andrade is on a roll with three finishes in her past four fights. On the other hand, No. 6 ranked Fiorot is one of the fastest-rising women stars in MMA right now. She’s undefeated in the UFC with wins over Victoria Leonardo, Tabatha Ricci, Mayra Buneo Silva and Jennifer Maia.

Aljamain Sterling vs. T.J. Dillashaw

Bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling is excpected to make his second title defense against T.J. Dillashaw at UFC 279 on September 10. No. 2 ranked Dillashaw will try to become bantamweight champion for the third time after two previous title reigns.

Jose Aldo vs. Merab Dvalishvili

According to Ariel Helwaini, the UFC is looking to book a massive bantamweight fight between No. 3 ranked Jose Aldo and No. 6 ranked Merab Dvalishvili, at UFC 278 on August 20.

Andre Fili vs. Lando Vannata

According to MMA Junkie, the UFC is finalizing a fight between featherweights Andre Fili and Lando Vannata.

Both fighters are coming from losses in their last bouts. Vannata got submitted by Charles Jourdain on April  23, while Fili suffered a TKO-loss to Joanderson Brito the week after.
