MMA Guide: Norwegian MMA prospects you must keep an eye on!

Norway has loads of skilled pro and amateur MMA fighters that get little or none coverage in combat sports media.

Let’s take a moment to give credit to some of the fantastic fighters from Norway. This article is not intended to rank the athletes, but rather to give them a little bit of well-deserved recognition.

With that said, here are some of the most interesting up-and-coming Norwegian MMA fighters right now!

Arlind Berisha

Arlind Berisha is one of the most promising prospects coming out of Scandinavia.

The big and athletic light heavyweight has not seen the second round in his two pro bouts. In fact, neither of the fights has passed the one-minute mark.

It will definitely be interesting to see what Berisha will achieve in the years to come.

Zelim Zubairaev

Zelim Zubairaev is one of the toughest prospects in Scandinavia at the moment!

With an undefeated 5-0 record, four wins via stoppage, Zubairaev could very well be fighting in a major international organization in the near future. His last win came at FCR 21 a few weeks back, when he choked out Axel Nobou in the second round.

Harda Karim

Harda Karim is 2-2 as a pro fighter and fought in promotions like UAE Warriors and Allstars Fight Night.

In his last outing he defeated Tapiwa Katikati in the first round at UAE Warriors 49.

Frederick Høifødt

Frederick Høifødt will make his pro debut at Allstars Fight Night 8 on October 19.

He’s got an amateur record of 7-7, and his solid experience will be a key factor in his upcoming fight against the undefeated Sebastian Palacio Gomez.

Jennifer Ankerud

Jennifer Ankerud is a tough lightweight prospect that’s making a name for herself in the Scandinavian scene.

With fights in AFN, MMA Galla and Cage Warriors Academy, Frontline Muay Thai representative is building a solid foundation for a pro career.

Jens Platt

Jens Leander Platt is a Frontline prodigy with a lot of potentinal.

Make sure to keep an eye on this young prospect!

Seyamand Rida

With a 7-3 amateur record, Seyamand Rida is a promising fighter on the Scandinavian scene. Fighting in several IMMAF tournaments, Rida has solid international experience ahead of a professional debut.

Fabian Ufs

One of the most established fighter on the list is Frontline’s Fabian Ufs, who recently made his Cage Warriors debut. As an amateur he fought in Cage Warrior Academy and represented Norway in the IMMAF European Championships.

Jon Vetle Furuheim

Jon Vetle Furuheim is one of the most dangerous fighters coming out of Norway lately.

With an impressive 7-1 pro record, six of them coming via stoppage, the Frontline fighter seems bound for a move to the big leagues in the near future.

Anes Palani

Frontline’s Anes Palani has proven he’s a force to be reckoned with in the amateur scene.

Make sure to keep an eye on this hungry talent!

Cecilie Bolander

One of the most established fighter on the list is former IMMAF European champion Cecilie Bolander who made a successful move to pro MMA. Even though she recently lost her OKTAGON debut, against the tough UFC vet Lucie Pudilova, she won the hearts of MMA fans all over Europe.

Julian Torhaug

Julian Torhaug is another promising young fighter from Fronline that competed in Cage Warriors Academy. Keep an eye on Torhaug in the years to come!
