For the third time in a row, Sweden’s Sadibou Sy enters PFL’s million dollar MMA tournament.
Sy, one of last year’s semi-finalists, will once again compete in the welterweight division. He is now scheduled to take on Russian Nikolay Aleksakhin in his first fight of the 2022 regular season on May 6, as recently announced by the Professional Fighters League.
Sadibou Sy is one of PFL MMA’s most spectacular strikers
The 35-year-old, nicknamed ”The Swedish Denzel Washington”, has made a name for himself by displaying flashy striking. His spectacular kicking game has led to some quick stoppages in the PFL cage, including a 17 second knockout against UFC vet David Michaud back in 2019.

Lately, Sadibou Sy has been training a lot with the rising UFC star Khamzat Chimaev both in Stockholm and Las Vegas.
Sadibou Sy vs. Nikolay Aleksakhin will be a rematch where both fighters will be looking to settle the score, as their first bout was declared a No Contest following an accidental eye poke during last year’s regular season.
