Swedes in OKTAGON

On Saturday, it’s time for another massive event in OKTAGON MMA. Red-hot Swedes Samuel Bark and Liam Pitts will take on important fights at the event in the Czech Republic.

There are also several other Swedish fighters that OKTAGON should keep an eye on.

Here’s Frontkick’s Tobias Lindkvist with a list of the top Swedish talents he’d love to see compete in Europe’s premier MMA promotion!

  • Record: 2-0

Two fights into her pro career, the young Millie Eriksson has lived up to all expectations and then some. Her most recent dominant victory over Polish IMMAF champion Weronika Cisło was a one-sided showcase that proved she’s already ready for the big leagues.

“I’m taking one fight at a time at the time, but I definitely won’t say no if I get an offer from a bigger organization,” Eriksson recently told Frontkick. ”I feel ready for whatever comes my way, and I also feel that I could step in and perform quite well wherever I end up.”

Hanna Palmquist

  • Record: 3-0

The tough and durable Hanna Palmquist continues her undefeated streak as a professional.

After a successful debut in ONE Championship, she’s followed up with two impressive victories under the Spanish promotion WOW. There’s no doubt that Palmquist is tough enough to give anyone in OKTAGON’s flyweight division a serious run for their money.

“I hope to be back as soon as possible. I’m just heading home to unpack my bag, and then I’m hoping my manager calls with the next mission to complete,” Palmquist recently told Frontkick.

Sakhi ”Machete” Qambari

  • Record: 6-2

One of Sweden’s most formidable and skilled fighters, Sakhi “Machete” Qambari, a former AFN champion and ARES FC competitor, is now set to showcase his talents in Scandinavia’s premier MMA promotion, Superior Challenge.

A victory at Superior Challenge 29 would make the step to Europe’s leading MMA promotion a natural next move.

“Machete” is a fighter that the OKTAGON fans would love. Violent, capable and always ready to deliver entertaining fights.

Guram Kutateladze

  • Record: 14-5

UFC veteran Guram Kutateladze is one of the most skilled lightweights in Europe. “The Georgian Viking” he has his sights set on a UFC return, but in the meantime, there’s a series of highly intriguing matchups in OKTAGON.

There’s no doubt in my mind that Kutateladze could become one of the biggest stars in the promotion if given the opportunity. With a resumé that includes wins against Jordan Vucenic and Mateusz Gamrot, “The Georgian Viking” would be a perfect opponent for the likes of Denis Frimpong, Shem Rock and Ivan Buchinger.
