2023 is coming to an end and MMA fans all over turn their attention to the next UFC year.

The promotion recently announced the schedule for the first few months of 2024, and there are some truly amazing cards coming up. We will see four numbered UFC events with intriguing championship fights, including the first title defenses for Sean Strickland and Sean O’Malley.

January 13: UFC Fight Night 234

The first event of the year will take place at the Apex in Las Vegas on January 13.

UFC Fight Night 234 will feature a rematch between Magomed Anakalaev and Johnny Walker in the main event. The two light heavyweight’s clashed in October in a heated fight that ended in a no contest after an accidental illegal knee by the Russian.

The card also features fighters like top ranked flyweights Manel Kape and Matheus Nicolau, as well as lightweight veteran Jim Miller.

January 20: UFC 297

The first numbered card of the year, UFC 297, will take place at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on January 20. The card features two title bouts as well as a bunch of other highly interesting fights.

In the main event, reigning middleweight champion Sean Strickland will defend his strap against South Africa’s Dricus Du Plessis. The card also features a women’s bantamweight title bout where Mayra Bueno Silva and former title challenger Raquel Pennington will square off for the vacant belt.

Another key fight is the featherweight matchup between Arnold Allen and Movsar Evloev.

February 3: UFC Fight Night 235

UFC Fight Night 235 will take place at the Apex in Las Vegas on February 3. Even though it might not feature the biggest names, it has a lot of great fights on the card.

In the middleweight main event, the dangerous Roman Dolidze will take on Nassourdine Imavov. We will also see an interesting lightweight matchup between the entertaining Drew Dober and former featherweight Renato Moicano.

The card also features the return of fan favorite Molly McCann who will take on Diana Belbita.

February 10: UFC Fight Night 236

UFC Fight Night 236 will go down at the Apex in Las Vegas on February 10 and features an interesting main event, especially for Scandinavian MMA fans. Swedish middleweight Jack Hermansson returns to action to take on the rising prospect Joe Pyfer.

Hermansson has alternated wins and losses since 2019 and comes from a tough defeat against Roman Dolidze in December 2022. Pyfer rides a five-fight winning streak and is undefeated in the UFC with three straight victories.

The card also features fighters like Brad Tavares, Dan Ige, Lerone Murphy and Danish lightweight Damir Hadzovic.

The second numbered event of the year, UFC 298, will take place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California on February 17.

In the featherweight main event, champion Alexander Volkanovski returns to action to take on undefeated phenom Ilia Topuria.

The card also features an interesting bantamweight bout between former champion Henry Cejudo and top ranked Merab Dvalishvili. Other fights to mention is the strawweight bout between top dogs Tatiana Suarez and Amanda Lemos.

February 24: UFC Fight Night

On February 24, UFC returns to Mexico City for a Fight Night at the Arena CDMX.

In the pivotal flyweight main event, former champion Brandon Moreno takes on rising star Iraqi-Swede Amir Albazi.

Moreno lost his title via split decision to Alexandre Pantoja in a crazy fight at UFC 290, while Albazi is undefeated in the UFC, with five straight wins. His resume includes fighters like former interim title challenger Kai Kara-France.

March 2: UFC Fight Night

For the first time in the promotion’s history, UFC will bring an event to Saudi Arabia. The country has lately become one of the biggest for hosting boxing events, and now the leading MMA promotion intends to break new ground.

The March 2 card will take place at the Kingdom Arena, Riyadh, and so far just two fights are booked for the card.

March 9: UFC 299

The third numbered event of the year is UFC 299 that will take place at the Kaseya Center in Miami on March 9.

The card is definitely the most stacked of the year so far and is headlined by a bantamweight title fight between Sean O’Malley and Marlon Vera.

The event also marks the debut of former Bellator star Michael Page who will take on Kevin Holland. Top fighters like Gilbert Burns, Jailton Almeida, Ian Machado Garry, Geoff Neal, Petr Yan and Rafael dos Anjos will also compete on the insanely stacked card. Check it out below!

On March 30 UFC will host a Fight Night at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

So far no bouts are announced for the event.

April 13: UFC 300

The mighty UFC 300 will go down at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on April 13. The card will be one of the most stacked in MMA history, according to Dana White.

So far no matchups have been announced, but MMA veteran Jim Miller will appear on the card. He will make history as the only fighter to compete at UFC 100, UFC 200, and UFC 300.

September 14: UFC TBA

On September 14, UFC looks to host a card at the Sphere in Las Vegas.

The event is expected to serve as the second Noche UFC card and broadcast partner ESPN lists the event as a pay-per-view. There are no fights announced for the event.
