Hooker claims UFC wants Oliveira next for him
Following his split decision win over Mateusz Gamrot on Saturday, Dan Hooker claimed that the UFC wants him to fight former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira next.
“Yeah, they want Charles,” Hooker told The MacLife. “That’s a good fight, but there’s heaps of cool shit I could do. The lay of the land is pretty crazy. It’s such a wild sport, as well. We’ll see how it plays out.”
Coach want du Plessis vs. Pereira in December
Dricus du Plessis’ coach, coach Morne Visser, wants a return to action in December. He wants the middleweight champion to move up to light heavyweight to face reigning champ Alex Pereira.
“I’m sure the UFC will be okay with that. Going up, if that’s what he said, I know Dricus is game, so we’ll go up. I’m not gonna wait for him to come down. He’s fighting in October, I really hope the UFC gives us the blessing for this for December. As soon as that.”
Dern vs. Ribas rematch booked for December 14
Mackenzie Dern and Amanda Ribas will run it back at UFC Fight Night on Dec. 14 in Tampa, Fla. The fight was first reported by Ag. Fight.
Ribas won their first fight by unanimous decision..
Undefeated Swedish strawweight Josefine ”Thunder” Knutsson will also fight on the card.

UFC’s fourth quarter for 2024 is now set. Among the standout events we find UFC 307 in Salt Lake City, where Alex Pereira will take on Khalil Rountree Jr, and UFC 310 on Dec. 7 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
