Buckley plans to send ‘Wonderboy’ to Karate Combat

Welterweight prospect Joaquin Buckley intends to kick veteran Stephen ”Wonderboy” Thompson out of UFC.

“It’s not about stopping his career, it’s about giving him a different career path,” Buckley said.

“He don’t want to keep fighting trying to prove himself, especially fighting the younger bucks. I think he’s really going to face the fact and face the reality that once I beat him, this dream that I’ve got, I might as well let that go and become a [Karate Combat] champion. Because I think he can do that. I think he can become a champion in Karate Combat.”

Aldo wants to become a champion once again

Despite his previous retirement, former UFC champion and MMA legend Jose” King of Rio” Aldo felt the desire to once again be champ burn inside him.

“Being the champion is being a champion,” Aldo said. “It’s a legacy. It’s being able to look back. That’s why I train so hard. That’s why I keep at it. That’s the fire I want to show people. It’s the UFC testing me. They’re trying to see you prove yourself again and see if you really want it. How much do you want it? I want to be able to turn back and look back and say, ‘This is the legacy that I left.”

Harrison: Title reign is inevitable

Former two-time PFL season champion and two-time Olympic gold medalist Kayla Harrison claimed she’s destined to fight for the UFC title soon.

“It’s kind of what fans want, and it’s inevitable,” Harrison said. “I want to fight for the title, and I want to be UFC champion. Julianna has been gifted a title shot, so I’m going to smash Ketlen’s skull, and then I would happily walk out after I beat Ketlen and fight both of those girls. I think I can beat all three girls in the same night. I believe I’m the best in the world and when you’re the best in the world, you can’t be stopped.”
