Who can step up and fill the main event spot on short notice? Here’s the three best options according to Frontkick’s Tobias Lindkvist.
Alex Pereira vs. Magomedov Ankalaev

Alex Pereira vs. Magomedov Ankalaev would be one helluva fight to end the year with.
Pereira has already saved the promotion twice in 2024. He stepped in to headline both UFC 300 and UFC 303. However, Pereira said he needed some time after his recent win against Khalil Rountree.
Ankalaev comes from a recent win against Aleksandar Rakic but should be able to take a fight in December.
Kamaru Usman vs. Shavkat Rakhmonov

An interim title fight between former champion Kamaru Usman and Shavkat Rakhmonov could be another good headline for the UFC 310 card. Usman has not been fighting since he stepped in on short notice against Khamzat Chimaev last October.
The former champion would bring needed starpower to the card and could quite possibly be the toughest opponent for Rakhmonov.

The No. 1 hate fight!
If this matchup would not get a crowd going then nothing would. The two welterweight rivals have been rumored to clash on December 14, just one week after UFC 310, so this fight makes a lot of sense.
The build-up for the fight would be one for the books and could put a lot of eyes on the last numbered card of UFC 2024.
