The sport we love gets bigger every year, with better fighters, bigger events and more international success. So, what are the gyms behind the success? Who are the trainers that grinds their fighters and pushes Swedish MMA to the next level?

15. Halmstad Kampsport

- Location: Halmstad
For such a small city, Halmstad has definitely delivered a bunch of really good fighters.
The local gym Halmstad Kampsport has produced names like Robert Nyström, Shadi Fakhouri and August Jacobsson and has close ties with MMA organization Wolf Fight Promotion which provided a solid platform for regional talent.
14. Öresund MMA

Founded by MMA pioneer Malik Arash Mawlayi, who competed in the organization that became ONE Championship, Öresund MMA is a gym on the rise!

House of Samurai has been around since 1986, back then known as Lunds Jujutsuskola.

With two gyms in the Stockholm region, Forca Fighting is a bright shining star on the east coast. The club’s biggest name is Bartosz ”The Destroyer” Wojcikiewicz, who fights in Superior Challenge and will be back in action on Superior Challenge 27 on March 16.
Forca Fighting is also the home of Swedish MMA champion Gabriel Laserna.

Fit4Fight Gym Idrottsförening was founded in 2006 by Martin Lodin, and provides Muay Thai, kickboxing, BJJ and grappling classes.

10. Söders Fight Gym

Back in 2005, Söders Fight Gym in Gävle opened the doors and took their first steps to become one of the most successful gyms in the north of Sweden.
With fighters like Christian Stigenberg, Adam Westlund, Nina Back, who all made quite a mark on the regional scene, as well as three-time Swedish boxing champion Anton Hellström, the gym has a strong representation both on the amateur and pro side.
9. Kraft

Stockholm gym Kraft has solid international quality in fighters like Cage Warriors’ Amir Malekpour and FCR flyweight champion Jonny Touma, who also competed in UAE Warriors.

7. Renyi Fight Camp

Even though Renyi Fight Camp in Umeå is a rather small gym it doesn’t lack talented fighters.

6. Redline Training Center

5. Pancrase Gym

Pancrase Gym is a true institution in Swedish MMA. Founded by Omar Bouiche back in 1996, it was Swedens first MMA gym.

4. Västerås Fight Club

VFC’s team is built around international fighters like Andreas ”Bane” Gustafsson, Alexander Lööf, Nermin Hajdarpasic and of course Cage Warriors top dog Tobias ”Bad Intention” Harila.
3. Fighter Centre

2. GBG MAC

The club continues to bring talents like Sakhi Qambari, Bernardo Sopai, Rafael Kveldstad and Liam Pitts, just to name a few.
