UFC 295 delivered a lot of entertaining MMA action that left no one in Madison Square Garden disappointed. Two title fights, entertaining veterans and promising prospects – the fight card just had it all!

Check out Frontkick’s Tobias Lindkvist’s five biggest takeaways from UFC 295!

Alex Pereira is one of a kind

It’s insane that combat sports phenom Alex Pereira is a two-division UFC champion after no more than 11 professional MMA bouts.

Sure, the former Glory Kickboxing champ was given exactly the right fights by a promotion that wanted to push his name, but still, no fighter in the world has ever accomplished anything like it.

Tom Aspinall is the best

Heavyweight interim champion Tom Aspinall just proved that he’s the best heavyweight on planet Earth. Seven stoppage wins in the UFC, six in the first round, no opponent has so far really given the British heavyweight a much of a fight.

After a performance like this against the dangerous Sergei Pavlovich it’s hard to see no Stipe Miocic or Jon Jones stand a chance against the quick and heavy-hitting Brit.

”We will see what happens but ultimately I want to fight Jon Jones” Aspinall said at the UFC 295 post-fight press conference.

100% KO’s on the main card

The main card of UFC 295 delivered some very intense MMA action as all fights ended within two rounds.

Benoit Saint-Denis is the real deal

French former special forces soldier Benoit Saint-Denis rides a five fight winning streak in the UFC and at Madison Square Garden he really cemented himself as a contender in the stacked lightweight division.

Knocking out No. 14 ranked Matt Frevola after 90 seconds is not something you just do out of luck, especially if you decided to embark on a pro MMA career as late as 2019.

The future is definitely bright for Saint-Denis.

Madison Square Garden delivers

Madison Square Garden is the most classic of all classic combat sports arenas, and the New York crowd always delivers an energy that goes right through the TV screen.

Even though the promotion only put on six events at MSG, the arena has already been the setting for some iconic UFC moments, including Conor McGregor knocking out Eddie Alvarez, Rose Namajunas becoming the strawweight champion, Jorge Masvidal winning the BMF Belt and Alex Pereira defeating Israel Adesanya.
