UFC boss Dana White announced four new fights for the upcoming UFC 299 event in Miami on March 9, including the promotional debut of former Bellator star Michael ”Venom” Page.
The event is headlined by a bantamweight championship rematch where Sean O’Malley defends the strap and seeks revenge against Marlon ”Chito” Vera, the only fighter that O’Malley has lost to.
Now, it’s safe to say that the UFC 299 fight card is stacked with several other major bouts too.

1. Michael ”Venom” Page vs Kevin Holland
Michael Page has been one of the hottest free agent in MMA for the last few months. After weighing his options between the UFC and PFL, he decided to go with the world-leading organization and is now set to take on fan-favorite Kevin Holland in a welterweight contest on March 9.
Page, known for his flashy striking style and spectacular knockouts, currently holds a professional MMA record of 21-2 with 16 wins by finish. After losing a close split decision to Logan Storley in 2022, ”MVP” most recently scored a 26 second TKO by leg kick against Goiti Yamauchi earlier this year.
As for Holland, he holds a 25-10 pro record with one no contest and is coming off a split decision loss to Jack Della Maddalena that snapped a two-fight win streak against Santiago Ponzinibbio and Michael Chiesa. Holland is ranked at 12 in the welterweight division.
2. Ian Machado Garry vs Geoff Neal
Dana White also revealed that rising star Ian Machado Garry will return on the same card. The undefeated welterweight has been rebooked against Geoff Neil who he was originally scheduled to fight at UFC 292.
Garry was set to face Vicente Luque on last night’s UFC 296 card, but was forced to withdraw due to pneumonia.
Garry holds a 13-0 record and is ranked at No. 10 in the division. Neal’s record is 15-5 and he’s ranked at No. 8.
3. Petr Yan vs Song Yadong
A bantamweight contest between former champ and current No. 5 ranked contender Petr Yan and No. 7 ranked Song Yadong was also announced.
Yadong is fresh off a main event victory against Chris Gutierrez. He’s won two fights in a row and holds a 20-7-1, 1 NC record.
As for Yan, the former title holder has lost three bouts in a row, including two close losses by split decisions against fellow champions Aljamain Sterling and Sean O’Malley and most recently a unanimous decision loss to Merab Dvalishvili. Yan holds a 16-5 record.
4. Gilbert Burns vs Jack Della Maddalena
Last but not least, it was also confirmed that former welterweight title challenger and current No. 4 ranked contender Gilbert Burns will be taking on up-and-comer Jack Della Maddalena, ranked at No. 11 in the division.
Burns holds a record of 22-6 and is coming off a decision loss to Belal Muhammad, that snapped a win streak against Neil Magny and Jorge Masvidal.
Della Maddalena holds a 16-2 record and has won 16 fights in a row, six in the UFC and one in Dana White’s Contender Series. After four straight finishes in his first four UFC bouts, the hyped Australian is now coming off split decision victories over Bassil Hafez and Kevin Holland.
